DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing, Livescan electronic fingerprinting, background checks, and compliance support.

Abay Services offers a variety of drug tests, including urine, hair, and saliva tests.

The time it takes to get drug test results can vary depending on the type of test and the testing method used. Generally, most drug test results are available within 72 hours, although they may take longer.

No. ATF Livescan fingerprinting in Maryland must be completed at the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office in Centreville, Maryland.

Yes. We provide virtual-only training for both supervisors and employees on DOT and non-DOT compliance requirements. Certificates of completion are included.

440 Main Street, Unit 100, Stevensville, Maryland 21666.

We accept major credit cards, business accounts, and employer billing arrangements.

Walk-ins are accepted for many services; however, appointments are recommended to minimize wait times.

Most fingerprinting appointments take less than 15 minutes, with results typically available within 72 hours, depending on the requesting agency's processing time.

DOT 5-panel test for marijuana (THC), cocaine, amphetamines, opioids, and phencyclidine (PCP). Non-DOT panels can include expanded testing with ETG, additional substances as specified by employer policy.

No. The Executive Order started a federal review process to move marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III. This does not legalize marijuana and does not change workplace drug testing rules.

State law does not override employer policies or federal safety rules. Employers may still prohibit marijuana use and impairment at work.

No. Nothing changes.

  • Marijuana is still prohibited for DOT safety-sensitive employees.

  • DOT drug tests still include marijuana.

  • Medical marijuana cards or prescriptions do not excuse a positive DOT test.

A positive marijuana result is a DOT violation and must be handled through the DOT return-to-duty process, including evaluation by a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP).

Non-DOT rules depend on your employer’s policy and job role. Many employers:

  • Prohibit impairment at work

  • Restrict marijuana use for safety-sensitive or driving positions

  • Continue pre-employment, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion testing

Not necessarily.
A medical card does not override DOT rules and may not override employer policies, especially for safety-sensitive roles.

Use caution. Some CBD and hemp products may contain THC—even if labeled otherwise. A positive THC test is still a positive test, regardless of the product used.

Ask before using any product that could affect a drug test. When in doubt, don’t risk your job or license.
